Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 extra large eggs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 TBS chopped orange rind
  • Coarse cinnamon sugar to serve

Method
 

  1. Sift together the dry ingredients.
  2. Add the eggs, honey, and orange peel to form a stiff dough.
  3. On a floured work surface, roll out dough about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cut shapes with a cookie cutter shape of your choice. Place the honey cooking on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Sprinkle with coarse sugar, and bake in preheated oven at 350 °F until done. Bake cookies for about 15 minutes.
  6. Cool on a wire rack. Serve with a little extra cinnamon sugar up top. Just a little bit will do.
