An immersive walk-thru holiday wonderland at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas — a curated village of light installations, characters, and seasonal markets created by L.A. event design pros.
Holiday Road is a ticketed, immersive walk-through holiday experience set in the rolling oak landscape of King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas. The producers — longtime entertainment-industry event designers — build out themed environments each year (past seasons have included the North Pole, Elf Village, Gingerbread Lane, candy cane fields, and Christmas tree forests), all woven together with thousands of festive lights.
Families meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, wander themed installations, browse a holiday market of local vendors, sample fare from rotating food trucks, and enjoy strolling carolers on weekend nights.
The experience typically runs from late November through early January on select evenings. Confirm this season’s confirmed dates, themes, and ticketing at holidayroadusa.com.
Holiday Road is ticketed timed-entry — buy in advance at holidayroadusa.com, as weekend slots sell out. Pricing rises on peak nights; kids 2 and under enter free.
Designed for families with kids of all ages — the immersive scenes, Santa visit, and walkable scale work especially well for ages 3 to 12. Strollers and wagons are welcome.
Plan 60 to 90 minutes for an unhurried walk-through the full grounds. There’s no rush — you can linger as long as you like during your timed-entry window.

King Gillette Ranch is a 588-acre property in Calabasas at the head of the Las Virgenes Valley, in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Razor magnate King C. Gillette purchased the land in 1926 and commissioned California Golden Age architect Wallace Neff to design a Spanish Colonial Revival mansion and surrounding estate buildings, which were completed in 1929. After passing through several owners, the ranch was acquired for public use in 2005 and is now managed by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, with a visitor center serving the broader park.
