A world-class holiday lights walk-through at Santa Anita Park’s historic racing grounds, anchored by a giant light maze, a real-ice skating trail, and a full Christmas village.

Enchant Christmas takes over the grandstand grounds of Santa Anita Park each holiday season, transforming the legendary Arcadia racetrack into a self-guided lights walk that ranks among the largest in the country. The centerpiece is a sprawling light maze with millions of bulbs, climbing arches, and themed photo zones built around a returning seasonal story.
A real-ice skating trail loops through the lights — not a rink, a trail — letting families glide past the glowing scenery rather than circle in place. The Christmas Village rings the entry plaza with artisan vendors, local food and drink stands, a sledding slope, live entertainment, and visits with Santa.
The Arcadia location is one of several Enchant cities and is one of the most polished family lights experiences anywhere in the San Gabriel Valley. Grandstand parking and Huntington Drive access make it an easy plan from across the Valley and the Foothills.
Enchant Christmas is held at Santa Anita Park, 285 W. Huntington Drive in Arcadia. The event uses the grandstand grounds and infield-adjacent area; the racetrack itself isn’t part of the walk.
General admission covers the light maze, the Christmas Village, photo zones, live entertainment, and visits with Santa. The real-ice skating trail is an add-on; food, drinks, and some special vendor items are paid separately on-site.
Enchant Christmas runs from late November through late December, evenings only. Check the official ticket page for the current year’s hours and opening night.
Yes. The walking surfaces are paved and the maze paths are wide. The skating trail is the one exception — it requires skates, though supervised non-skater walk-throughs are typically offered.
Each is its own experience. Enchant leads with scale and structured photo zones; Descanso leads with garden ambience; LA Zoo Lights leads with animal exhibits and a different lighting style. Families who love December lights often do more than one over the season.

Santa Anita Park is one of the country’s premier thoroughbred racing venues — a 320-acre racetrack at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, opened in 1934 in Arcadia’s eastern foothills. The grandstand is California Spanish Revival in style and the property hosts the Santa Anita Derby and (in rotating years) the Breeders’ Cup. Outside the racing calendar the grounds operate as a year-round event venue.
