South OC’s marquee community parade — 3,000+ participants, 100+ entries, equestrian units, marching bands, classic cars, and Santa, running down Crown Valley Parkway and ending at Crown Valley Community Park for the city’s Festival of Lights.

Each early-December Saturday, Laguna Niguel runs its Holiday Parade & Festival of Lights — one of the largest community parades in south Orange County, with 3,000+ participants, 100+ entries, an anticipated crowd of more than 10,000 spectators, and a celebrity Grand Marshal at the lead.
The parade starts at 10:00 AM at Crown Valley Parkway & Nueva Vista Drive and ends at Crown Valley Community Park, where the Festival of Lights gathers the parade’s energy into a single park-based gathering for the rest of the day. Equestrian units, patriotic and military tributes, youth groups, classic auto clubs, marching bands, and Santa himself make the procession, which is followed by community programming at the park.
For families in Marina Hills, Niguel Shores, and across south OC, this is the community holiday parade.

Yes — Santa makes an appearance as part of the parade itself and at the Festival of Lights gathering at Crown Valley Community Park after the parade ends.
Yes. Morning timing, plenty of equestrian and animal entries, marching bands, classic cars, and a relatively short overall procession make it well-suited to young attention spans. Bring strollers and find a sidewalk spot away from the densest crowd.

Crown Valley Parkway is Laguna Niguel’s primary east-west arterial — a six-mile parkway connecting the I-5 to Pacific Coast Highway, and the city’s civic spine. Crown Valley Community Park, at the parkway’s midpoint near the Civic Center, is the city’s main public gathering space with an amphitheater, sports fields, and event lawns. Laguna Niguel itself sits between the inland Saddleback Valley and the South OC coastline, with Marina Hills and Niguel Shores among its most established residential neighborhoods.
