Mission Viejo’s city-built Whoville-themed holiday evening — a Night Market with the Grinch, Santa’s Workshop with Santa and Mrs. Claus, snow play, crafts, food trucks, and a golf-cart shuttle between two venues.

Each December, the City of Mission Viejo runs a city-built holiday evening across two adjacent venues — Santa’s Village at 200 Civic Center and the North Paseo at LOS OSOS (25282 Marguerite Parkway). The event combines the Holiday Mix & Mingle at Santa’s Village with the Whoville Night Market at North Paseo, themed around the Grinch’s Whoville and built for a single Saturday evening.
At Santa’s Village, families find Santa’s Workshop with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a snow play area, live entertainment, make-and-take crafts, beer, wine, and food trucks. At Whoville Night Market, visitors take pictures with the Grinch and Cindy Lou in a fully themed setup, with the Night Market vendors around. Attendees move between the two on a paved path or a short golf-cart shuttle ride.
Admission is free. For families across Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, and the south OC inland communities, this is the December community pivot.
Across two adjacent Mission Viejo sites: Santa’s Village at 200 Civic Center, and the Whoville Night Market at the North Paseo (LOS OSOS, 25282 Marguerite Parkway). A paved path and a golf-cart shuttle connect them.
Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Both sites operate the full window, with the golf-cart shuttle running between them throughout.
Yes. Santa and Mrs. Claus hold court at Santa’s Workshop in the Civic Center; the Grinch and Cindy Lou are at the Whoville Night Market site. Plan for photos at both.
Yes — admission is free at both sites. Food trucks, beer, wine, and Night Market vendor items are paid on-site.
The Civic Center and the North Paseo lots are the primary options. The city sets up a clear flow on the day; ask staff at either site if you arrive and aren’t sure which lot has open space.

The Mission Viejo Civic Center along Marguerite Parkway is the city’s civic heart — City Hall, the Library, and the Norman P. Murray Community Center cluster on a single campus designed for year-round community gatherings. The adjacent North Paseo (the LOS OSOS site) is part of the same master-planned civic-green corridor, connected to the Civic Center by a paved path that doubles as the city’s main festival route. Mission Viejo itself is one of the largest fully master-planned cities in the country.
